DILLANDER PACES DOGS IN FAST OPENING

The 2008 Fairdale cross country team proved Tuesday that they could be a force to be reckoned with by the end of the season. The team opened the season against Central in the Fairdale Invitational. The event took place on the campus of the high school marking the first the school has hosted a meet on campus. The boys' team was led by senior Matt Dillander with a first place finish and a blazing time of 18:02. Dillander's fastest time last season was a 20:20 in the JCPS Championships. Brad McFall and Nick Watson finished in 18:08 and18:31 respectively. The best finish of a new-comer came from Aaron Stinson who finished fourth in 18:33. Tia Weston led the girls' team as the lone runner with a 19:48, 1st place finish.
