FAHRINGER IMPRESSIVE IN SECOND MATCH

Jake Fahringer looked impressive in his second match of the season for the golf team. After shooting a 55 and finishing tied for third among five teams in the last match he stepped in up at Sun Valley Golf Course on Tuesday. Fahringer improved his score by 11 shots as he scored a 44 on the par 35 course. His efforts helped Fairdale earn their first second place finish of the season. The only golfer to finish ahead of Fahringer was Evan Donoue of Fern Creek who shot a 42. Fahringer defeated golfers from Evangel, Doss, Iroqouis, Valley, Portland Christian and Southern.

FAHRINGER OPENS GOLF SEASON FOR BULLDOGS

The 2008 Fairdale boys' golf team kicked off its season on Thursday as they took on rivals Portland Christian, Doss, Iroquois and Valley in league play at Sun Valley Golf Course. Jake Fahringer played the course on Thursday as the lone representative for the Dogs under Coach Gregg Longacre. Fahringer shot a 55 on the par 35 course in his first outing as a Bulldog golfer. His performance was enough for the Dogs to clinch a tie for third with Iroquois with 220 points. Portland Christian (192) and Doss (203) finished ahead of the Dogs in the season opening match.
